Visiting and Joining

We welcome people to join us in our community activities. There are many ways to participate:

Visitors can arrange a time for a tour by contacting us.

Guests are invited and sponsored by a member of the New View community. They may participate with their hosts in social events and meals. Guests may attend any open meeting with their host, but may be asked by the facilitator to participate only in certain parts of the meeting: for example, check-ins and check-outs.

New View Associates are able to use New View common areas and attend meals and social activities without a host sponsor. They may also subscribe to the New View email discussion list. Associates do not engage in New View governance, decision-making and/or committee work.

Community members are non-resident members who may participate fully in most aspects of New View: meals, social events, email, committees, meetings, and use of common facilities. Community members may not block consensus in steering committee elections, condo budget decisions or any other matter deemed to be "condo-only" by the steering committee.

Resident members live on-site. Every so often a home is for sale. To learn more about becoming a potential buyer, click here.

Boarders rent space from a resident member. There is currently one small studio space that is rented to a boarder; the turnover has been zero in this unit since it was occupied. Occasionally, we may also have short-term house rentals.
