We wanted to find a strong, meaningful name that had a connection to music. As with Kaya's name, we wanted something that he could grow into, and that would have good nickname potential.

The name Jason means "healer" or "one with healing powers". The nickname "Jaz" seems to fit Jason's personality and spirit. We also call him JC, which is what his grandpa John Cunio was called.

Cuneo is a small town in Northern Italy where some of Sue's ancestors are from. Somewhere between Italy and America, the spelling was changed to Cunio.

Salem

This name is originally from the Middle East via Germany and England. Its meaning is "peace."
